Chicago Storefront / Starsiak Clothing Building / 8" x 8" Print
Starsiak Clothing opened in 1916 here on "Polish Broadway," as Milwaukee Avenue was known then. It was one of many Polish-owned businesses serving the ethnic community here. After the business closed in 1981, this gorgeous Art Nouveau storefront remained covered for years at a time. Designer Ted Zahn pays tribute with this illustrated portrait of the building's historic storefront and signage.
