The Fireside Bowl building was converted from an ice factory to a bowling alley in 1941 to capitalize on Chicago's newfound craze for the sport. Over the next 80 years, the Fireside has evolved with the time, becoming a popular music venue, while undergoing a series of remodels to continue to serve new generations of bowlers.
