Dotty Dumpling's Dowry / Madison, WI
Description
Hamburgers Forever! Art print of the Madison burger institution Dotty Dumpling's Dowry, which has seen no less than 4 incarnations around campus since 1974. I chose to draw the 3rd (and most famous IMO) location on Fairchild near the Capitol, which was claimed via eminent domain by the city to build the Overture Center — triggering some serious beef (pun intended) between owner Jeff Stanley and the city. It closed in 2001.
