FAQ

Do you do commissions or custom requests?

Unfortunately I am not taking on commissions at this time. As a one-man-show, it's too difficult to add one-off client work to my place, so I prefer to focus on historic places that I believe will resonate with the most people.

How do you choose your cities and places?

Up to now, I've focused on cities and areas that I have more of a personal connection to ... cities I've lived in, or traveled to multiple times. I do my own research, and the places I draw are almost always more than 30 years old, and tend to fall into the broad category of bars, eateries, theaters or music/sports venues ... places where multiple generations have gathered socially with friends and loved ones. I've got a LONG waiting list of drawings :) What I'm drawing during any given month, week or day doesn't always follow a logical flow; I tend to jump around from city to city based on my own crazy whims.

What is the print quality?

Each print is considered "Giclee-quality," individually printed using my studio's professional Canon Pro-1000 10-color inkjet printer, which delivers beautiful, archival pigment-based ink coverage, on bright white museum-grade paper (60lb. / 230 gsm / 10 mil) from Red River Paper.

How are they shipped?

Smaller prints (8" x 8", 8" x 10") ship in a rigid flat mailer. Anything larger is rolled and protected in a mailing tube.

How long will shipping take?

Orders are fulfilled in 3-4 days, ship USPS First Class, most arrive in 3-4 days later. Please allow 7-10 business days after you place your order. Sorry, we're not able to accommodate special shipping requests or orders outside of the U.S.

What if my shipment is damaged?

Customer service means everything to me. Obviously these are designed to be art pieces for your wall, and are protected as such. Of course, occasionally mishandling and dings happen along the way. If so, send me a photo of the damage, and I will make it right.

Do you work directly with the places you draw?

Not typically. I do provide a complimentary print to any of the establishments who'd like one, and offer wholesale pricing to them if they'd like to resell the prints on premises.

How do you create the illustrations?

Each is drawn by hand digitally (with mouse / digital pen / drawing tablet) using multiple reference images as inspiration, either taken by me and/or gathered from other available sources.
