FAQ

Do you do commissions or custom requests?

I get A LOT of requests to draw individual places. And I definitely love to hear these — I add them a running list of possible future prints, and decide what to actually draw based on a number of factors. If you are interested in commissioning me to create a custom piece of artwork, this is different. It's something I've done for clients for their historic residential houses and/or places with special meaning to them. The cost for a custom piece starts at $500, up to $1500 or more based on the complexity of the illustration and the size of finished printed piece of artwork. If you have a project in mind, I'd love to talk about it!

What is the print quality?

Each print is considered "Giclee-quality," individually printed using my studio's professional Canon Pro-1000 10-color inkjet printer, which delivers beautiful, archival pigment-based ink coverage, on bright white museum-grade paper. I also partner with Print Dropper, a U.S.-based small business, to print and fulfill smaller 8" print orders—all others are printed and fulfilled in my studio.

How are they shipped?

Smaller (8" x 8" and 8" x 10") prints ship in a rigid flat mailer. Anything larger (11" or above) is rolled and protected in a mailing tube.

How long will shipping take?

Orders are fulfilled in 3-4 days, ship USPS First Class, most arrive in 3-4 days later. Please allow 7-10 business days after you place your order. Sorry, we're not able to accommodate special shipping requests or orders outside of the U.S.

What if my shipment is damaged?

Obviously these are designed to be art pieces for your wall, and are protected as such. Of course, occasionally mishandling and dings happen along the way. If so, send me a photo of the damage, and I will make it right.

How do you create the illustrations?

Each is drawn by hand digitally (with a mouse and digital pen), using multiple reference images, either taken by me and/or gathered from other available sources.
